TRAAN is the national umbrella body uniting Nigeria's tradesmen and artisans giving structure, voice, and economic power to the people who build this country with their hands.
Nigeria's artisan economy employs tens of millions of people and generates hundreds of billions of naira every year. Yet the people doing this work have had no formal national body to represent them — no unified voice, no verified identity, no collective platform.
TRAAN was founded to change that permanently. We are building the infrastructure that Nigeria's artisans have always deserved but never had.
To unify, formalise, and elevate Nigeria's artisan economy — creating a platform where skilled tradespeople are recognised, protected, supported, and economically empowered.
A Nigeria where every skilled tradesperson is known, valued, protected, and prosperous — and where the artisan community commands the respect and economic position it deserves.
We register artisans, issue official TRAAN membership cards, and maintain a nationally verified directory of skilled tradespeople.
We run nationally recognised skills certification programmes across 5 trade tracks, giving artisans the credentials that unlock better opportunities.
Through the Happy Artisans Project, we distribute tools, run training sessions, provide wellness support, and connect members to corporate clients.
We represent Nigeria's artisans at policy level — engaging government, industry, and media to ensure the artisan community is heard and respected.
Artisans across Nigeria have always been organized, with strong state-based unions supporting and coordinating skilled professionals within their communities. However, for many years, these efforts remained largely fragmented, limiting their collective strength and visibility.
Today, that is changing.
Artisan leaders across different states are coming together under a shared structure—retaining their individual identities while aligning on a common purpose. This shift marks the beginning of a more unified, visible, and opportunity-driven artisan ecosystem.
At the center of this transformation is the Happy Artisans Project —a structured platform that connects artisan unions across states, enabling collaboration, coordination, and access to real economic opportunities.
The project is designed to integrate Nigeria’s artisan workforce into formal economic systems through:
With a growing network of over 350,000 artisans, this platform provides, for the first time, a coordinated system through which artisans can engage, grow, and access opportunities at scale.
Together, this is more than a network.
It is a movement—uniting voices, strengthening influence, and unlocking the true economic potential of Nigeria’s artisan sector.
